The food at the Century Inn is absolutely fantastic. The menu manages to be inspired and progressive without disrespecting the Inn's 200+ year history. They source a lot of products very locally ("we get all of that from across the street," I was told in reference to several dishes) and are continually making menu decisions that genuinely demonstrate a thoughtful and self-aware approach to food culture in a way that really isn't being done as well by anyone within a fairly wide radius. Is it arguably bizarre that I'll drive an hour to have lunch at the Inn without a second thought? Yeah. Is it worth it? Every time. Also of particularly impressive note is the Inn's beer and liquor selections, it is obvious that whoever chooses and purchases the drinks for this restaurant makes it a priority to go above and beyond the usual choices and make some thoughtfully chosen products available. There are a number of beers and whiskeys that I tried for the first time while at the Century Inn, as they seem to really keep their ear to the ground regarding what is new and interesting. It's worth noting that the Century Inn kitchen can handle many requests and dietary restrictions, just ask. I have had several purely vegetarian meals there over the past few years, and to be honest, their vegetarian meals are arguably better than most of the meals I've had in strictly vegetarian restaurants. The wait staff is excellent, and I cannot say nice enough things about their service and attention. I have never had a negative experience with Inn staff, and I don't expect to anytime soon. The rooms at the Inn, both in the main building and at the second building across the street, are gorgeous. They are very thoughtfully furnished in a way that suggests no expense was spared. I am admittedly a bit of a hotel snob, and I have been genuinely impressed by the furnishings and fixtures in the rooms, most notably the (recently remodeled, I believe) Andrew Jackson suite, which features an amazing bed, a noticeable attention to detail in painting, trim, and decoration, and an almost absurdly well furnished bathroom. I come out this way about two or three times per year, and while it is notably less fun to walk around the property in the snow (at least in my opinion,) the Inn's grounds and gardens are also a treat in themselves and worth exploring in the non-winter months. The enormous gazebo in the backyard makes for a great wedding venue, (and yes, I have been to at least one wedding there,) and food / drink events back there are not worth missing.

What a pleasant surprise... Went on a Wednesday night. From greeting through departure the place was fabulous. Complete bar and wine list. Professional server who knew her stuff. Food was exceptional. If for some reason you are in the neighborhood, it's a must!

We just had our daughter's wedding at the Century Inn this past weekend. I cannot say enough about this place---April was wonderful to work with in all the planning. The Music Room was a perfect place for our wedding party of 16. The food was outstanding and everyone loved it! We stayed in four of the rooms and they are so uniquely furnished. Breakfast the next morning was really a special treat. I highly recommend the Century Inn and guarantee you will not be disappointed!! Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful weekend---we will all be back!

We just had our wedding at the Century Inn. Our day was absolutely perfect; we could not have imagined anything better Everything went very smoothly from the moment we met with April and began to plan our day a year ago. She helped us plan our wedding every step of the way. Not only did she help organize our event at the Inn, but she also advised us about vendors in the area. She was incredibly helpful and wonderful to work with. The food was excellent, and we are still receiving compliments on it. Everyone at the Inn treated us so well and made our experience very personal. The place is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect venue for us. None of our guests wanted to leave. Also, for a wedding venue, the price was incredibly affordable. We highly recommend the Century Inn for weddings.

I have been to several weddings at the Century Inn, and the facilities and staff are awesome. There is a beautiful garden behind the Inn that is ideal for a ceremony or reception. The Inn itself is a wonderfully historic building dating to 1794. The food is excellent in the dining room and the cozy bar is charming. Worth the trip!
